Your big toe moves upward as part of normal walking. When this joint is locked by abnormal alignment of the foot bones, you cannot walk as you were intended. Many people, even those without symptoms in their feet, suffer as a result of this foot disorder.
The Cluffy Wedge
® used in a shoe, sandal, or on an insole or orthotic, unlocks the big-toe joint and allows it to move upward, unimpeded, resulting in correct function. Unlocking the big-toe joint can be your first and most critical step toward normal walking and physical harmony, restoring your foot to healthy and correct function. As normal function is achieved, pressure on the ball of the foot is balanced. The entire foot and leg is brought into alignment and you are restored to a firm, stable foundation. This not only reduces your injury potential, but also enhances foot performance.

The patented Cluffy Wedge is the missing link in managing functional hallux limitus, first-ray insufficiency, and an ineffective windlass mechanism. These common problems lead to a variety of foot disorders. Lesser metatarsal overload, retrocalcaneal, and infracalcaneal heel pain, neuromas, and bunion deformities are just a few of the disorders for which podiatrists recommend the Cluffy Wedge.
The Cluffy Wedge is a wedge shaped piece of high durometer (firm) EVA with an adhesive back. It is designed to be attached to and enhance the performance of footwear, insoles, or orthotics. It is recommended that the wedge be worn as a pair, even if the condition is only on one foot, so that the correction creates more symmetry in the gait.
Choosing the correct size and installing the Cluffy Wedge is simple.
As the Cluffy Wedge raises the large toe in the shoe, you will have to use it in a shoe that has enough room in the toe box to accommodate elevation of the big toe. Dress shoes, as a general rule, will not work with the Cluffy Wedge.
