V/V Wedges

Varus/valgus wedges are intended to reduce pronation and suppination, which can be related to lower-extremity misalignment.

Wedges are designed to help align the calcaneus (heel) during ambulation to limit excessive pronation or suppination. They improve foot function by stabilizing weak, rotating ankles. Heel wedges can alter joint loading and actually decrease the loading on the different components of both the ankle and knee joint and decrease pain.
