One Foot Lift = 8 1mm layers
The G&W Clearly Adjustableģ
Foot Lift is made of the same compliant transparent material as Clearly Adjustable Heel Lifts. This vinyl material is non-toxic and easily cleaned if necessary. It provides up to 8mm (1/3 of an inch) of lift.
Using the Clearly Adjustable Foot Lift., you can provide a micro-adjustable full-foot lift in the patientís shoe up to 8mm while not adding forward slant of the foot or changing ankle angulation.
By removing or replacing 1mm transparent layers, the Clearly Adjustable Foot Lift allows you to eliminate the change in ankle angulation that a heel-lift-only solution creates. The foot can remain level, and related changes in gait and foot pressure are reduced.
The Clearly Adjustable Foot Lift is the right choice for rehab uses in gait training, for fitting shoes to prosthetic feet, and for runners who want to compensate for imbalances created by running on roads with sloped shoulders. It also reduces the shear stresses of an unbalanced lower spine and pelvis resulting from acquired leg length inequality.
The Foot Lift is an ideal solution for adjustment of shoe fit and swing-through for prosthetic lower limbs and feet, as the material conforms to the shoe but does not compress, giving firm control and best connection to the ground. Any necessary fitting accommodations can easily be made with scissors or a knife, by trimming layers as needed.
Laced shoes will allow the patient to use this lift comfortably by allowing them to loosen the laces to allow for the lift. Shoes with a high toe-box will allow room for the toes, or layers may be trimmed at the toe to provide more room. If necessary, the Foot Lift may be used with other orthotics or heel lifts to provide maximum elevation inside the shoe.
Clearly Adjustable Foot Lifts are custom made to shoe size and may be used on either foot. Sizes include Womenís size 7 to 12, Menís size 5 to 14, and Childrenís sizes 4 to 7. We attempt to cut these lifts to fit your exact shoe size. However, some trimming may be required. If so, here are some suggestions:
- Remove the insole from your shoe, if possible, and use as a guide.
- Using a magic marker draw an outline of your present insole on the lift.
- Separate the Clearly Adjustable in 2-3 mm increments and cut away the areas outside your outline with a pair of scissors.
- Re-assemble the layers.
If you notice the foot lift tending to slip while walking, then a small amount of double-faced tape may be required to hold the lift in position. If tape is required, we recommend our Heel Lift Tape
Clearly Adjustable Foot Lifts should always be used after evaluation and recommendation by a qualified health care professional.
